Post title

-Fragment of a painting by Carlos Navarro
(and color tweaked a little by me in photo shop)

Crass Etching

Junked up, crashed out and ruined
The cards are silky wet
Stretched out, pulled taut and ready
Hit me with the straight teaching
baby

Dry simple and emptied ground
The wind brought leaves called "happiness"
It made no difference to the
Threshing floor

Cats kill snakes in the grass and there is an old
49 ford four-door covered with ivy up the road
The moon is full and it is
foggy cold and wet before warm bed by the fire

No thought left for selling
some one already paid

"yes i am unhinged and loose so what"
I am trying not to smoke!
said the long blue wool coat with the hood
to the street color plasma localities swirled up in magnetic vortices
 swirling around downtown
and the cops harassing some fat homeless dude
on the back of a truck without shoes

Well right now I guess they all
have their feet up on the Ottoman
in front of the goddamned giant drug box
While outside the shadow man smokes
and watches the alien street light parade
that nobody "believes" in

It's all true baby, even the vampires are real
white quick and without mercy
wormholes all over the damn planet

& the General was on his knees with a wrench
his head inside the giant drone ship
chipped with the latest cut edge AI
"We build the tools and then they build us"
He said to the electric eye watching him
quietly thinking quickly
 about planting an apple tree
or raising snakes

& Sledge sat on the edge of the cold hard sidewalk
 cigarette hot and good
and said to Kid Tiger, "hey man, is this stuff shot
or is there one more eat in there? "
and he waved the bag of corporate chicken up at the night

& a Man drove by looking for an electric escape
from oppressive sadness
in high heeled boots and a dress
all the while
dreaming and driving as he drove to pick up his kid

& the Moon kept on going while sleep came and is coming
over the iridescent allure of the sound and the word
of dark infinite space
Just one hop above the foggy smear of coldness
called the sky tonight

blackness in the face of noon/
destrudo pulls hard to break the view
skeleton mirror and the face and the hands/
your white body & black hair and the burning sands
- song lyric fragment

Saw a bumper sticker that said,
"don't believe everything you think"

"What bitter blanks in those
 black-bordered marbles
which cover no ashes ! "

-from Moby Dick by H. Melville

Save it all
Save it all
For the lonely view
Save it all
Save it all
For the love in you
Save it all
 Save it all
For the lonely few
-me

"I was walking down the street one night and I saw a broken selfie
and next to it was a box of cookies and then the moon shined bright
cookies, oh cookies
how I love you
oh cookies"

-Juniper, 6 "The cookie song"
