surrounded by eternity
first thought is buddha thought
surrounded by eternity
and messy life
trust it all if you can
but I know your going to lose the fight
you always do

sad girl and the black star
I actually like this one. I hardly ever like my own art. ha.
The surface is paper and got wavy from the heavy paint and glue
and needs to be pressed flat which it is now being
The black star is a piece of my brain

quick on the trigger
I live in a dream
the kids yells, the dog barks
trees alive all around me
whenever I want
and the sound
of flower bombs
and the voice
through the heart
my mind is blank
I am always
where I live in memory and dream
in the dreams of the endless well
in the endless swell of the waves and stars
in the changing and passing away
of the dust of this day
the paint disappears time the guitar and
like buttermilk and coffee
I find the one
and the sun on us laughing in the kitchen
while we eat
and read things
around the wooden table
that needs fixing
I am the fool
the sea and alone
unimportant
and fading away
but there is a light
in me
a little flame
that doesn't go out
same light that's in you
and all that we can see
and its growing out
into everything that is
and everything that will be

Copper creek trail to ridge loop
Lake Cushman, WA
4 miles round trip
Here is the story:
So I hiked up here with Jane the dog. She is a rescue dog and sometimes she runs from me for no good reason. This trail was really hard and steep but well marked and impossible to get lost on. On the way down I felt weird and it went from 4pm to 7pm in what felt like a moment. We were the only ones up there. We had passed a Super Mom and her baby earlier but never saw them again. I got to a log and let go of the leash for her to go under. She was on the leash because earlier she had run away from me and I had to go all the way to the road to get her and then back up. She went under the log and I went around. I looked up after climbing around and she was gone. She was not up trail or down. just gone. I called and looked and nothing. No dog. I thought, ok she must have ran away fast down the hill so I went down to the road. I never heard a thing. I have good ears. No dog. I drove all around. Went back up the trail, called, looked all around. No Jane the Dog.....After two hours of looking and worrying, I drove home. We all figured she must have been picked up on the road by some nice people and they would call us. No one called. I couldn't sleep very well. I woke up early and shot out of bed and said "fuck I am going back". Just then Toni came in and said lets go look for her....so we drove back, an hour and a half later we went up the trail to where I had last seen her and BOOM, there she was curled up in a little hole she dug! The second she saw me she ran full blast up the hill until she heard Toni's voice and then turned around and blasted right by me down the trail to Toni .....what a relief it was and is to have found her again. She hates me but I love her anyway....what a lucky dog, she could have met a bad end up there.....anyway it was weird. It seemed as if she just vanished and it was unusual for her to hide from me.....Jane the Dog is ok now
