fragile passing moment

Fragile passing moment
I am thee
the water and sand in her bucket
the face that becomes
the inside stretched out

over this passing beautiful love for you
this gift and fragment
this open wound
all the pain of now
out there screaming
for god

soft music
bequeath me another morning
with them
my respite
my paradise
my creation
fragile and unknown
perhaps taken away
tomorrow

another simple day
of the glorious boring
the normal balance and shuffle
of the space
and the peace
between my empty eyes

this beautiful dog
a window of glass
a hot cup for thinking
surrounded by plants
in control of the world

bequeath me another day
with their love
and wonder
eyes of mystery
lost in the busy movement
pianos driving through fire
the shore emptied of cars

pictures torn and remembered
tears of days
common and basic
hidden with diamonds
in the candle flame
and infinite abyss
shining with lovely
colors

an era of death
swirling through the printed words
screens pumping out sublime
destruction
awe at the madness
awe at what we have become
without
without the soul of the world
the ocean in the mind
the heart and eyes of the children
we all are

we never lost a thing
really
and everything is in its
place
we just can't see it

bequeath me
a clean shower
a new shirt
bacon
my wood stove
and some rain

oh my lovely fragile passing moment
oh how I love thee

Indian day, remember

F/G/E/Am
Highway sign down the road of imminent doom
I can see your beautiful eyes fallin like the flowers in my room
Oh, father above me, father of the dry windy mountain
The time has come for death to take thee back again

Queequeg in his coffin
